Providing intensive care services at St Andrew’s Private Hospital in Adelaide
Adelaide Intensive Care Services is a group of senior, experienced Intensive Care Specialists who provide services at St Andrew’s Private Hospital on South Terrace in Adelaide.
There are 7 Intensive Care Specialists in our group, all of whom also work in the Royal Adelaide Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU), which is now the busiest ICU in Australia. We work at St Andrew’s in blocks of a week, during which time we work exclusively at St Andrew’s, and provide 24-hour cover.
The Intensive Care Unit has 18 centrally-monitored beds and is well equipped to look after a broad range of critically unwell patients, or those requiring additional support and monitoring during their hospital stay. The Unit’s highly trained team includes ICU Specialists, ICU Registrars, Specialised Nurses, Physiotherapists and other Allied Health Staff. There is an ICU Registrar in the hospital 24 hours a day to primarily support the ICU, but also to respond to emergency calls on the hospital wards.
